Role Summary:
The Product Manager is responsible for the Strategic Vision, Customer Value Proposition, Roadmap, Feature definition and alignment of features to larger business objectives. They are the Subject Matter Expert for their Product(s) and helps to rally a cross functional team to bring the product to market. The Product Manager leverages research and customer insight to identify pain points and remove friction while delighting customers through delivery. A consummate partner, the Product Manager works cross functionally with Marketing, Engineering, QA, Sales, Customers and Leadership to align product goals and deliver phenomenal customer experiences that deliver value to the company.
Responsibilities
- Create a dynamic strategy that provides a vision, value proposition, and roadmap that demonstrates an understanding of the market, regulatory considerations, and customer needs while balancing organizational goals
- Fluency in utilizing data and proving hypothesis
- Fluent in the product life cycle and understanding what levers to pull at different stages
- Balancing continuous improvement with operationality of the solution
- Partner with Engineering, Customers, Sales, Customer Success, and Support to iterate on product experiences.
- Contribute to the establishment of product practices.
- Partner with User Research, Analytics, and Design to identify and validate problem identification and craft solutions to those problems
- Prioritize efforts and maximize development spend by creating focus for Engineering teams
- Clearly document and communicate plans
- Collaborate with peers to ensure alignment across products
- Generate new Product ideas grounded in research and data.
- Create product strategy and business requirement for new features or products
- Responsible for product vision and continuous improvement of features and/or products
- Lead and obtain strategic buy-in from internal and external stakeholders
- Communicate key messages and engage with many diverse functional stakeholders through the product lifecycle
What you will need to be successful
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in a Product role.
- Ability to understand technical concepts and work with technical teams is a must. Technical background with experience in software development or web technologies is a nice to have.
- Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Exceptional leadership skills.
