Name: EDP AWS Redshift Optimization and Administration

Description: Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) has multiple AWS Redshift environments for data analytics development and running production workloads. The work defined is to perform in-depth analysis of the Redshift cluster configuration and workloads and optimize them.

Deliverables:

• Analyze EDP production cluster and identify top workloads and queries
•  
• Define optimization steps for workloads and run them
  • Review table structures, keys and joins
  • Run vacuum analyze on table
  • Adjust join criteria as required
  •  
• Identify cluster parameters that need to be updated
  • Run workload on different configurations
  • Design parameters to reduce cost and query run times
