Job Description

Our client has recently re-opened their .NET Architect that needs to be onsite in Fort Mill, SC (just outside Charlotte, NC).

They need extensive .NET and MS Azure experience, as well as a good understanding of IoT tools and technologies. 

Preference will definitely be given by the client for the closer candidates

.NET Software Architect

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain .Net based legacy applications that interface with Hardware such as Cameras, RFID Readers, GPIOs etc.

Maintain .Net based on premise services and websites and Data integration

Design cloud-based applications on the Microsoft Azure platform using .NET and PaaS technologies

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including , product owners, architects, developers, and system administrators, to design scalable and reliable solutions

Work with development team & tech leads to explain technical requirements, review deliverables and plan for smooth releases

Ensure the security, availability, and performance of Azure-based applications

Help team to troubleshoot and debug issues and provide timely resolutions

Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices

Stay up to date with the latest cloud services, tools, and best practices

  • Document code, solutions, and technical specifications

 

Experience:

Experience of developing an Engineering product that interfaces with Hardware, including experience on Integration of required Protocol Stack

Experience in System Design consisting of multi-layer architecture

Proficient in .NET development using C# and the .NET framework

  • Familiarity with web development technologies, including ReactJS/NextJS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS

Knowledge of Microsoft Azure platform and services, including Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, and Azure SQL Database

Experience in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions with high scalability, availability, and security

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as Azure DevOps and Git

Understanding of containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes

Understanding of Restful APIs and MicroServices architecture

Familiarity with IOT, IOT Hub, IOT Edge or related IOT solutions available in market

Experience of leading a cross domain, cross geography Engineering team working on different components of the system

Awareness of Retail or Rental domain is a plus

  • Awareness of RFID technology is a plus

Requirements:

  • Masters or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot search-related issues and optimize performance using .NET tools and techniques

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a strong attention to detail
