Location: ONSITE ONLY, Tallahassee, FL through the duration of the project
​Minimum Qualifications of Candidate
The Department is seeking an Applications Development Analyst professional with the following minimum qualifications (these qualifications must be clearly stated on the resume and verifiable via reference checks):
- Computer Science or Management Information Systems degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience writing complex efficient queries, views, stored procedures, and user defined functions with MS T/SQL
- Minimum 3 years of experience with MS SQL Server and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) utilizing, parameters, sub-reports, drill down technologies and subscriptions
- Minimum 5 years of experience testing custom applications, reports, large data sets, or dashboards
- Minimum 5 years of experience producing technical documentation related to requirements, specifications, traceability matrices, designs, or testing
- Minimum 2 years of experience with MVC and C# web application projects
- Minimum 2 years of experience developing with web applications
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with Team Foundations Server (TFS) and Visual Studio .NET
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio, Reviews documents, including requirements documents, testing plans, development plans and architectural plans in order to ensure that implementation of said documents and plans will result in the system required by the user
- Demonstrated experience with large-scale implementation projects
- Experience working in state government, specifically in the field of Education or Early Learning preferred.
- Ability to work with other developers under the leadership of a Project Manager and/or Application Manager preferred
- Deliverables/Tasks
The Applications Development Analyst key deliverables include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Understanding the project requirements and project goals and using that understanding to produce deliverables
- Working with Business Analyst to create and/or update project, technical, and training materials as needed.
- Actively participate in meetings or other project activities to produce project deliverables
- Communicating accomplishments to BA to produce weekly status reports that outlines accomplishments and planned activities for the following week
- Understanding the project requirements and project goals and using that understanding to produce project deliverables
- Communicating project progress and information to key team members
- Assisting in the preparation of information for program leadership team, executive steering committee, and project manager as appropriate.
- Ensuring technical direction and standards for infrastructure and software applications are being followed
- Understanding strategic direction and tactical goals, and effectively participating in the development and implementation of business solutions
- Assisting both internal and external resources to achieve business solutions within project guidelines
- Identifying and eliminating obstacles to solution plans, business goals or implementation. Assist in the development and implementation of contingency plans
- Participating in conference calls with State and Federal stakeholders, as necessary
- Researching and maintaining knowledge in emerging technologies and possible application to the project/ program
