We are looking to hire, under contract, an IT BusinessAnalyst/ProjectManager“ IT-BA/PM.
The IT BA/PM role is to:
· Elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of stakeholders by interviewing stakeholders as well as by gathering and compiling user requirements to understand and document the business needs
· Evaluate and present the best technology options to meet business needs.
· Develop project plans to implement approved technology solutions
· Manage all phases of the assigned projects for delivery as per approved project plans
The IT-BA/PM shall apply proven written and verbal communication skills as well as analytical, and problem-solving skills to plan, develop and execute approved projects.
· Collaborate with project sponsors to determine and document project scope and vision.
· Identify and meet with project stakeholders and user departments to gather requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, and other methods.
· Prepare statements of work and project plans which includes scope; deliverables; roles and responsibilities; tasks and timelines; criteria and metrics.
· Assist in conducting research on software and hardware products to meet agreed-upon requirements and to support purchasing efforts.
· Participate in the QA of purchased or custom-developed solutions to ensure features and functions meet stakeholder requirements.
Operational Management
· Follow and use approved processes, standardized templates as well as project management tools that are in place.
· Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
· Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project teams
· Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers, vendors, and/ or to the project team.
· Schedule and attend meetings with customers and stakeholders for the purpose of project status reviews, change management, and expectation management.
· Prepare reports and maintain updated documentation
· Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements– verbally and through written documentation – to the project team, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues, variances, and solutions are understood and addressed in a timely manner.
· Obtain approvals as required
· College diploma or University degree in the field of business administration, computer science, information systems or in another related field–OR at least 7 years of related work experience.
· Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and project plan development.
· Experience overseeing the configuration, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
· Ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user- friendly language.
· Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to apply them to business issues, systems and products as required.
· Demonstrated project management skills including but not limited to planning;organizing; managing resources to successfully deliver as per approved plan.
· Understanding of application development and software development life cycle concepts.
Experience with Atlassian products is a plus.
