Ameren - Mainframe Lead / Business Analyst - St. Louis

Our customer has been transitioning off mainframe applications for the last few years, however, total mainframe application elimination will not occur for a few more years.  This initiative will put in place a Supplier provided/managed mainframe application maintenance/support team to support this Managed Mainframe Application Support initiative. The OAS (Order Assignment System) is the key mainframe application to be managed/maintained within this initiative.

 

Specifically, our effort will be required to provide a Managed Mainframe Application Support team for our customer’s OAS mainframe application with activities and responsibilities to include:

1.       Work in partnership with our customer’s OAS knowledgeable resources to transition all maintenance/support activities to Supplier.

2.       Build working knowledge, over time, of the OAS application's functions to better maintain and support the application.

3.       Provide skilled, knowledgeable, and stable resources/resource pool for the following activities:

a.        Perform OAS COBOL code fixes and necessary updates/releases for both OAS screens, Batch jobs, reports, and integrations.  Including software development and testing.

b.       Perform OAS Disaster Recovery/Resiliency Testing/Exercises (already defined and executed 2x per year)

c.        Perform OAS incident investigation/resolution. These include both batch and user-initiated incidents.  Note this may require 24x7 call out/response to critical incidents (rare).

d.       Perform OAS database analysis and data repairs (DB2) related to application maintenance/support

e.        Perform OAS application lifecycle management/OAS Release management for necessary system updates/fixes.

f.        Utilization of ServiceNow platform for Incident and Change processes.

g.       Provide assistance/support of other minor mainframe applications may be requested.

4.  Work in partnership with shared services and other managed service providers including but not limited to:  Mainframe OS/Operations Support Team, Database Operations Support Team, other Application Support Teams that interface with OAS.
