This team supports the business side with various development projects, focusing on maintaining existing systems, resolving issues, and building integrations. Power BI Developer Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for existing applications, particularly focusing on Power BI development projects and maintenance.
- Manage and troubleshoot system issues as they arise, handling an average of 3-5 heavy tickets per week.
- Collaborate with business partners to support growth, manage the ticketing system backlog, and address enhancement requests.
- Engage in “break-fix” development work, supporting business-side projects and evolving team needs.
- Build and enhance integrations, with potential for strategic development as new projects and systems emerge.
- Utilize Power BI for reporting, visualization, and data analysis; support ticket management using ServiceNow or a similar platform.
- Work closely with stakeholders to align development efforts with business needs and address new requests.
- Support AWS-based development initiatives, including API integrations, as the department expands its scope.
Power BI Developer Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, management, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in production support, with coding experience and a strong background in maintaining and troubleshooting systems.
- Proficiency in Power BI for data visualization, reporting, and analytics.
- Experience using ServiceNow or a similar ticketing system for managing support requests and issues.
- Familiarity with AWS, API integration, and general development in cloud environments.
- Experience or knowledge in O365, including Power Apps and My Services.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to business stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset, with a willingness to ask questions, seek support, and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Worked on utility sector processes, familiarity with IBM FileNet (or similar), and exposure to other related tools like PPMS (Oracle), DataCap, CMOD, JIRA, or Coupa.
