Job Title: Sr. Data Solution Architect
Sr. Data Solution Architect with expertise in designing and architecting data platforms using Azure Cloud Service offerings.
BUT they must be extremely well spoken and have command of the English language – both verbal and written communication skills
Overview:
The Sr. Data Solution Architect will work with senior leadership to review/assess the current landscape and architecture of the clients data platform/environment, and architect and design new solutions to create more real-time data solutions. The consultant will need to have extensive experience working across Microsoft environments utilizing Azure Cloud Solutions. This resource will work in collaboration with the business operations leaders to gain insight to how the company utilizes their data, uncover additional needs, and ultimately build an enhanced and scalable environment to meet business initiatives.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience designing and architecting data solutions (data warehouses, data marts, data lakes, etc.) for organizations utilizing Microsoft products
- Analyzing architecture and functionality of existing data systems and re-engineering new functional solutions to meet business needs
- At least 8 years’ experience leading and designing solutions around data integrations, data integrations, and data migrations
- Strong experience creating design documentation, and knowledge-based artifacts
- Prior experience working with Accounting and Finance Leaders, as well as Sales and Operations Leaders – with an understanding of financial data (P&L’s, AP, AR, GL, etc) and operational data, (job coding, vendor data, costs, etc)
- A minimum of 6+ years’ experience working with Microsoft and Azure Cloud Services, to include:
- Microsoft Fabric
- Azure Data Factory
- SQL Server
- Azure SQL
- SSAS
- Synapse
- Power BI
- Security
- Disaster Recovery
- Testing
- DevOps
- Experience working in a self-directed capacity with limited resources
- Critical thinker
- The ability to translate technical solutions to non-technical audiences (business leaders)
- The ability to train data team members and ensure knowledge transfer
