Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently gather and analyze business requirements, using critical thinking to translate them into functional design.
• Collaborate with technical team members to communicate requirements and assist in technical design.
• Define and execute clear Test Acceptance Criteria and perform thorough data testing, including writing and running SQL scripts.
• Engage in research and development of data engineering and security trends relevant to the banking industry.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Evaluate software products and provide recommendations.
• Offer support and troubleshooting for data platforms, including escalated on-call support.
• Participate in internal projects, such as legacy system replacements and tool development.
• Mentor team members and manage multiple assignments.

Required Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience with SQL
• Experience with DataStage (ETL), DBT, Snowflake, and Python
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of data-related concepts, SDLC, and project management practices

Preferred Experience:

• Capital markets and financial services background

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent experience
