DB2 DBA

Job Title: DB2 Database Administrator

Client is seeking for a DB2 DBA who will be responsible for providing DB2 technical support (administration, performance, design, and maintenance) for the multiple mainframe DB2 Databases. They will ensure best practices in database planning, design, configuration, performance and capacity planning and growth. Additional knowledge in relational databases is highly recommended as they will be helping to migrate mainframe data to newer relational databases. They will work with the DBA ITM1 to ensure that team goals and metrics are met. The client currently has approximately 10 applications including OJI, RCEXPRESS, WOTC, and SETS data warehouse.

Mandatory Skills:

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical study.
• 9 years DBA experience
• DB2

Preferred Skills:

• SQL Server DBA certification is preferred

Nice to have:

• ODJFS or other state agency experience.
