Job Description

Sr. Snowflake Database Administrator

 

MUST BE ONSITE HYBRID IN HARTFORD, CT or ST PAUL, MN

Note: This is not a Snowflake Developer role!

· Collaborate with end users to resolve issues.
· Complete user requests and ServiceNow tasks in a timely manner.
· Participate in on-call rotation and provide off-hour support.
· Prioritize work and manage projects within established budget objectives and customer priorities.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Technical Knowledge:

· Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture and operation.
· Proficient in Snowflake SQL and understanding of its unique features.
· Solid understanding of Snowflake Database Admin features: Cloning, Data Sharing, Secure Views, caching, Warehouse sizes, and scaling.
· Experience with Snowflake data loading and unloading processes.
· Familiarity with Snowflake's security features and role-based access control.
· Knowledge of integrating Snowflake with various data sources and BI tools.
· Strong relational database and SQL skills.
· Thorough working knowledge of all tools and techniques required for area(s) of responsibility.
· Understanding of the business that the assigned projects are supporting.
