Client is looking for an experienced IT Asset Specialist for a (1-3) years contract position located on-site in Washington, DC.
Candidates must either be a US Citizen or Green Card Permanent Resident.
Special Skills: 1-4+ years exp., asset management, ticketing system, scanning tools, windows 11, ms office suite
The role will provide support for the IT Asset Team with responsibility for ensuring that technology assets are, tracked, received, recovered, deployed, and retired in a controlled manner. The candidate will perform activities, including but not limited to
Ensuring that asset records are kept current in ServiceNow throughout an assets lifecyle.
Updating tickets in ServiceNow
Managing request tickets
Unboxing, Boxing, Shipping if IT equipment.
Interact with hardware vendors
Responsible for picking up, distributing, as well as preparing equipment for disposal.
Processing inventory within the building, may use scanning tools
Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Requires 1 to 2 years with BS/BA or 4 years with HS Diploma/Equivalent.
Experience with Windows 11 Operating Systems
Knowledge in using ServiceNow or comparable ITSM ticket and incident management tool
Ensure tickets are accurately documented and resolved in a timely manner
Responsible for updating Asset detail/location/user assignment in Service Now
Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Outstanding organizational skills.
Must have experience in a very fast paced, high volume environment
Some physical lifting requirements, must be able to lift 50 lbs.
