Job Description

Infrastracture Engineer

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, patch, and administer Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016.
  • Perform network switch configuration on Cisco iOS platforms and other switches.
  • Manage and configure Palo Alto firewalls, including network address translation.
  • Handle Static IP Address Management and IPV4 configuration.
  • Understand and work with various network media types, including fiber and copper, as well as terminations.
  • Utilize network troubleshooting tools and equipment such as terminal consoles, Wireshark, and cable testing tools.
  • Design, specify, and procure network solutions based on project requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve networked system issues.
  • Possess basic SQL Server knowledge and management capabilities.
  • Configure and troubleshoot SMTP Email Relay functionality.
  • Manage VEEAM Backup or similar managed backup systems.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Network Systems Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016 installation, patching, and administration.
  • Proficient in configuring network switches, particularly on Cisco iOS platforms.
  • Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls and network address translation.
  • Expertise in Static IP Address Management and IPV4.
  • Understanding of network media types, including fiber and copper, and their terminations.
  • Skilled in using network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, terminal consoles, and cable testing tools.
  • Ability to design, specify, and procure network solutions tailored to project requirements.
  • Effective collaboration skills for working within a team to resolve network issues.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL Server and its management.
  • Experience in configuring and troubleshooting SMTP Email Relay.
  • Hands-on experience with VEEAM Backup or similar managed backup systems.

Skills:

  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
