Job Summary: The Network/Telecom Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of an organization's network and telecommunications systems. This role ensures the efficient and secure operation of all network and telecom infrastructure, providing support and guidance to the IT team and collaborating with other departments to meet the organization's communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Management: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Telecommunications: Manage the organization's telecommunication systems, including VoIP, PBX, and mobile communication solutions.
Security: Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against cyber threats and ensure data integrity.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of network and telecom professionals, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure the timely delivery of network and telecom services and equipment.
Budgeting: Develop and manage the network and telecom budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and efficient resource allocation.
Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of network and telecom configurations, processes, and procedures.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in network and telecommunications management.
Strong knowledge of network protocols, hardware, and software.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
