Oracle SOA Integration SME for an Onsite Assignment in Washington, DC
Position Responsibilities:
Coordinates IT project management, engineering, maintenance, QA, and risk management
Plans, coordinates, and monitors project activities
Develops technical applications to support users
Develops, implements, maintains, and enforces documented standards and procedures for assigned systems’ design, development, installation, modification, and documentation
Provides training for system products and procedures
Performs application upgrades
Performs monitoring, maintenance, or reporting on real-time databases, network and serial data communications, and graphics and logic applications
Troubleshoots problems
Ensures project life-cycle follows District standards and procedures

Experience working with Web Services / Messaging: XML, REST, API development, ITIL processes and SOA Governance- 10+ years of experience
Experience with cloud integration platforms like Oracle, Microsoft Azure and other cloud-based solutions- 5 year(s) of experience
12 years of Expertise programming with languages such as Java, .NET, Python- 10+ years of experience
Experience working with enterprise connectors and developing custom connectors- 5 year(s) of experience

Complete Description:
Expertise and Strong hands-on experience in technologies related to application integration
Implementation of projects with integration platforms like Oracle SOA, Microsoft Azure, and other cloud-based solutions
Define processes and plans for incremental migrations of services and scripts from as-is environment to cloud solution
Partner with technical team members (developers, administrators, quality analysts) to analyze and document the existing architecture, functionality, and dependencies of different applications in an integration
Evaluate options and formulate solutions, assess overall feasibility, determine current and future cost models, develop timelines, and align with functional requirements
Translation of requirements into high-level technical architecture
Robust design and troubleshooting skills with an understanding and development experience in multiple web service protocols, programming languages, security, development methodologies, and governance
Create, enhance, modify, and develop with enterprise and custom connectors.
Work with Enterprise platforms for CRM, HR, Procurement, and Finance to implement new and modify existing integrations
Experience with the development and concepts of Microservices is a plus
Manage and complete multiple competing, high-priority projects with varying deadlines
Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems and industry requirements
Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operation time, and form of desired results. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirements specifications
Provides consultation on complex projects and is the top-level contributor/specialist of most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience.
