Job Description

PeopleSoft Developer Role

General Overview:
This role involves senior-level programming and systems analysis in PeopleSoft Benefits and Pension Administration. The primary focus includes advanced data research, extensive data mapping, systems integration, project planning, and development of PeopleSoft applications and modules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advanced development and maintenance of PeopleSoft applications/modules (Benefits Administration, Pension Administration, Core HR, Financials).
  • Perform extensive data research and create complex data mapping rules.
  • Serve as a development lead, mentor team members, and guide technical solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity within PeopleSoft systems and maintain compliance with agency standards.
  • Design, develop, test, and debug advanced PeopleSoft programs (SQR, Application Engine, PeopleCode).
  • Create and manage PeopleSoft Pages, Components, and XML Publisher reports.
  • Integrate PeopleSoft applications with third-party systems using web services.
  • Analyze user requirements and prepare detailed technical design documentation.
  • Suggest technical enhancements and demonstrate developed functionality to stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data processing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience:
    • 7+ years: PeopleSoft PeopleTools development.
    • 5+ years: Benefits/Pension Administration development, Oracle SQL, SQR programming, and in-depth data analysis.
    • 3+ years: PeopleSoft Application Engine programming.
    • 2+ years: PeopleSoft XML Publisher experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with PeopleSoft integration using web services.
  • Ability to create flow diagrams and manage multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Oracle databases, and PeopleSoft development tools.

Other Requirements:

  • Strong written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead design review meetings, mentor colleagues, and work collaboratively.
  • Flexible, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Work Environment:
Primarily office-based with potential on-call or after-hours requirements. Compliance with agency policies and professional business attire are mandatory.
