IT Project Manager (Security or Cybersecurity related projects)

As an IT Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and closing projects related to the implementation of security software solutions. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills, understanding of cybersecurity principles, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will lead initiatives to enhance the organization's security posture through the deployment of cutting-edge security software.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, timelines, resource requirements, and milestones.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project objectives, goals, and deliverables.
- Assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Participate in PI planning sessions and regular standups with assigned team.
- Security Software Implementation:
- Oversee the deployment of security software solutions, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and organizational security policies.
- Collaborate with the IT and security teams to integrate new software seamlessly into existing infrastructure.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues during the implementation phase.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Communicate project progress, issues, and resolutions effectively to all stakeholders, including senior management.
- Foster strong relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Manage expectations and ensure alignment between project goals and organizational objectives.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and change requests.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on project status, risks, and issues.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a focus on Information Technology.
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
