Project Manager
Onsite role in Washington DC (Local candidates in Maryland, Washington DC & Virginia only)

About this Position / Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who has managed web projects and mobile application development. This project involves onboarding staff
to support the implementation of the SmarTrip Mobile App 2.0 by providing application integration and deployment, including development, configuration, testing,
and deployment of code to production environments. The role also includes overseeing the day-to-day management of in-scope web applications projects.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate project team activities with other teams and senior management.
- Needs Assessment: Communicate with sponsoring organizations to assist in needs assessment and functional specifications.
- Specifications and Work Plans: Draft specifications and develop work plan definitions.
- Task Management: Manage tasks, overall deliverables, and status tracking.
- Best Practices: Apply best practices and agile project management methodologies appropriate to the project scope.
- Schedule Management: Develop and manage the project schedule using MS Project.
- Status Reporting: Provide status reports and modify schedules or plans as required.
- Project Reports: Prepare project reports for management, clients, and others.
- Technical Advice: Confer with project team members to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
- Stakeholder Meetings: Hold regular project meetings with stakeholders to monitor progress and communicate required actions.
- Problem Solving: Proactively solve problems to ensure milestones are met and projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Post-Mortems: Conduct and evaluate post-mortems to improve future projects.
- Issue Management: Manage project issues, revise plans as necessary, and communicate changes to project team members.
- Sponsor Communication: Maintain close contact with project sponsors, ensuring shared vision, stakeholder buy-in, and project support.
- Security Training: Successfully complete mandatory security awareness training annually.
- System Hardening: Review and assist with system hardening and vulnerability remediation.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 5 years of experience leading web projects focusing on modernization.
- 2 years of experience leading mobile application development projects.
- 5 years of experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies.
- 3 years of experience with project management tools (JIRA, Confluence).
- 5 years of hands-on experience in web/mobile projects.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.
