• This role is based in clients Chicago head office (which offers various amenities including free barista coffee, subsidized cafeteria and fitness offerings)
• We would like for this position to start ASAP
• This is a 5 day per week assignment, full working day Central Time, with occasional flexibility needed to help facilitate conversations/discussions across time zones as global needs arise.

 

PURPOSE:
We are looking for an energetic team member to drive the key coordination processes for strategic alignment, partnership/alliance, and integration efforts. As a growing leader in the travel industry, Hyatt continues to build out its global presence through relationships with other companies around the world. In recent months, the company has launched complex new initiatives and built out a small function to manage Hyatt’s interests in these partnerships, relationships, and (where applicable) acquisitions.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Project Management Coordinator manages the team’s time, resources, and information flows across a portfolio of 2-4 initiatives and standing responsibilities of the team’s executive sponsors. The Coordinator works with leaders across Hyatt, Hyatt’s partners, and third parties to prioritize efforts and the time and interactions necessary for these teams.

The Coordinator will have particular skill in managing the global logistics associated with intercontinental travel, meetings with 2 to 20+ colleagues, and the assembly of shared files, documents, and updates related to these efforts.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Good written, verbal, and presentation skills – in English and Spanish, across executive-level colleagues and those across organizational levels
• Familiarity with light data analysis
• Collaborative: The ability to adjust and adapt as project initiatives evolve
• A strong team player who can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency includes working knowledge of Microsoft Office including familiarity with Outlook scheduling; experience with project management software preferred
• A keen attention to detail, excellent organization and strong time management skills, be outcomes oriented and sensitive to meeting deadlines
• A very good working knowledge of Spanish will be essential
Per project, core tasks include:
• Ensuring that team members and relevant people have access to information (Share Files, etc.)
• Assisting Project Managers(s) with managing the project schedule, including tracking deadlines and coordinating meetings
• Creating reports and updates for the Project Manager(s) and project leaders (executive team readouts, steering committee/decision-maker updates, etc.)
