Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salesforce Project Manager
The ideal candidate will have strong project management expertise with a focus on Salesforce implementations and customizations, combined with a deep understanding of life sciences and the unique requirements within the therapeutics industry. This role will be instrumental in driving Salesforce-related projects from initiation through to successful completion, ensuring that the solutions meet both business and regulatory needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage Salesforce projects from start to finish, including requirements gathering, scope definition, project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and timeline management.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal stakeholders such as R&D, marketing, sales, regulatory affairs, and compliance teams to understand their needs and ensure Salesforce solutions meet therapeutic business requirements.
- Customization & Configuration: Oversee the customization, configuration, and integration of Salesforce to align with business processes in clinical trials, drug development, regulatory compliance, and marketing.
- Collaboration with IT and Development Teams: Coordinate with IT and development teams to ensure Salesforce solutions are effectively designed, implemented, and tested, while maintaining alignment with company objectives and technical standards.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the Salesforce system meets regulatory standards (FDA, EMA) and is compliant with life sciences industry requirements, including data privacy, security, and audit trails.
- Change Management: Manage the change process and user adoption strategies for Salesforce solutions, ensuring smooth transitions and ongoing support.
- Reporting & Analytics: Support the creation of reports and dashboards that enable real-time decision-making, and ensure that critical metrics for drug development and patient management are accurately captured and analyzed.
- Risk Management: Identify project risks, assess impact, and proactively implement mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery within budget and scope.
- Training and Documentation: Develop and deliver training programs for end-users and ensure comprehensive documentation for processes, workflows, and technical specifications.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with new Salesforce releases, features, and best practices, and apply relevant improvements to maximize platform efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Information Technology, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Experience:
- 5+ years of project management experience in Salesforce implementations, customizations, or integrations.
- Proven experience working in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, or therapeutics industry with an understanding of clinical trials, regulatory compliance, and drug development processes.
- Strong experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications:
- Salesforce Certified Administrator (Salesforce Admin) is highly desirable.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platforms
- Familiarity with integrations between Salesforce and other business-critical systems (e.g., ERP, clinical trial management systems, LIMS).
- Knowledge of data management, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and compliance requirements in life sciences.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a focus on attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
