Job Description:

The Autonomous Vehicles team is searching for an experienced test technician / engineer to support our new autonomous driving features development. We are the leading artificial intelligence computing company and are paving the way with innovations in gaming, visualization, supercomputing and self-driving cars. As a key member of our Autonomous Vehicles team, you will be supporting the software testing of our autonomous driving software stack. NVIDIA gives automakers, Tier 1 suppliers, automotive research institutions, and start-ups the power and flexibility to develop and deploy breakthrough artificial intelligence systems for self-driving vehicles. Today, we are working with over 270 partners that are using our platform in the development of autonomous cars, trucks, shuttles and taxis.

What you'll be doing:
  • Develop testing scenarios and procedures to comprehensively assess engineering solutions in L2 or above autonomous driving system
  • Independently bring up vehicle, perform in-car testing and record test results
  • Provide reliable and consistent judgment of product quality from the perspective of end user based on evidence collected from road test
  • Work with operation team to arrange logistics for testing
  • Report product issues in a timely and structured manner using issue management system (JIRA)


What we need to see:

  • Experience with testing and validating L2 or above functionality of autonomous driving vehicles, including adaptive cruise control, active lane keep assist, active lane change assist, traffic sign assist, etc.
  • Proven track record of creating test plans, executing test cases to collect product health metric and reporting it back with detailed documentation
  • High level understanding of AV software component stack and core algorithms
  • Ability to travel frequently for field testing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Tech savvy and able to learn tools fast


Ways to stand out from crowd:

  • Degree in field of mechanical, electrical, automotive or computer engineering
  • Experience with automotive Tier-1 supplier or OEM
  • Familiar with Linux bash and usage of scripting languages
