Jr. QA (Onsite)
Job Description:
- Must be located in South East Florida (Boca Raton area) and able to be in office full time during the work week to perform duties
- USC, GC, GC-EAD is acceptable
As a quality assurance technician you will be responsible for performing validation testing of our public safety applications to validate that planned changes to the application and supporting systems and infrastructure do not impact the quality of the deployed solutions.
This is not a deskside role and will require the candidate to work closely with engineering and development staff to ensure that the solution is of high quality and meets or exceeds customer expectations for availability, performance, and usability/functionality.
Skills Required
Mandatory:
- Be able to review and analyze system specifications, and the changes being applied to those systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and developers to develop effective strategies and test plans
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
- Evaluate product code according to specifications
- Create logs to document testing phases and defects
- Report bugs and errors to development teams
- Help troubleshoot issues discovered during testing
- Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development/infrastructure systems lifecycle
Qualifications:
- Strong Written/Oral communications Skills
- Strong familiarity with the windows platform
- Strong familiarity with testing web-based applications
- Familiarity with ITIL processes
- 2+ Years Quality Assurance testing experience
