Position Title: Quality Assurance Analyst/Software Tester
Duration: 6+ month contract (High potential for extension)
Location: Montgomery, AL (Onsite role 100%)

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison with stakeholders to confirm that testing results meet business requirements, systems goals, and end-user needs.
- Identify system issues, deficiencies, or unmet requirements, and facilitate resolutions.
- Perform retest procedures, document outcomes, and ensure traceability.
- Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners to test new software configurations.
- Present testing results to stakeholders for approval.
Tasks Include:
- Design, execute, and debug test plans for software applications based on business and technical specifications.
- Review project requirements and develop test cases to validate requirements.
- Detect and identify configuration or workflow failures, document issues, and ensure corrections.
- Evaluate software usability and error-handling procedures.
- Communicate test progress, results, and relevant information to stakeholders and management.
- Document test results and provide historical analysis of software functionality.
- Record configuration anomalies and defects in an issue-tracking database.
- Participate in application planning and design meetings.
- Provide instructions and training for end-users as needed.
Skills Required
- 3+ years in Software Testing
- 3+ years in Test Case Development
- 3+ years in Web-based software failure detection
- 3+ years in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- 3+ years in Defect Tracking and Test Case Management
- 3+ years in Ability to interpret Business Process Workflow diagrams
- 3+ years of proficiency in Microsoft software, service desk ticket management, and communication tools
Experience Preferred
- 5+ years of software testing experience
Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (equivalent work experience may substitute year-for-year).
Education Preferred
- Professional training in IT processes (e.g., business analysis, software development, project management)
- Certifications in relevant fields are encouraged but not required
