Job Description: Senior QA Engineer
Summary:
The Bain Capital Global Delivery Services QA group is seeking a flexible QA Engineer who is organized and innovative. The candidate should have knowledge of QA testing methodologies and business systems experience with complex projects and be able to communicate issues and project status to IT and project stakeholders. The specific project involves testing end user updates to ensure a quality experience for Bain Capital users. Other projects will include testing systems in the Corporate Platforms business unit, assisting with reporting and data comparisons. Attention to detail is essential. The candidate will work through problems and complex situations to meet project requirements alongside Quality Assurance Management.
Job Description:
The QA Engineer is responsible for developing test strategies, creating comprehensive test plans, executing all phases of the testing process, managing activities to meet project objectives, and verifying that solutions function as intended. The solutions are evaluated for functionality, performance, reliability, stability, and compatibility with legacy and external systems. This role also involves testing in the Desktop Engineering space, focusing on end point testing to ensure user stability with new desktop rollouts.

The ideal candidate should have at least 6 years of experience in a QA role, including the creation of test strategies and plans, execution of testing scenarios, and provision of detailed testing results.

The QA Engineer will perform tasks both independently and as part of a team.

Functional/Technical Skills

• Experience in Quality Management Software Standards and Processes, including traditional Waterfall, Scrum and Agile methodologies
• Knowledge and experience in technical aspects of the tested software solutions (Business Systems, Infrastructure and Security)
• Understand ‘end to end’ business processes
• Created detailed test cases and provided comprehensive reporting
• Sql Skills
• Demonstrated skills in analysis, problem resolution, and judgment and decision making
• Experience with testing tools and an understanding in automation including some experience with Python
• Experience with SQL or relevant databases
• Experience testing information security and end user desktop tools 
• Bachelor's degree
