Business Analyst - SAP PP/PI


Business Analyst with SAP PP/PI experience. I need someone with the right combination of support in a BA role and strong technical skills with PP/PI for them to consider someone willing to relocate.


We got 2 interviews for our role here. Kindly find below feedback for reference –

1st Feedback - They enjoyed speaking with her but felt that she did not have the needed PI-Sheet development experience they are looking for.

2nd Feedback - They enjoyed speaking with her but they were not convinced that she wants to be in a support role long term. There is additional risk associated with the needed relocation.


The Business Systems Analyst will be a member of the business systems design team and will be responsible for configuration and function support of SAP PP-PI and other modules as assigned.  He/she will be responsible for analyzing business needs in order to design solutions which meet those needs.  The analyst will analyze problems and support their assigned functional area projects and enhancements through consulting, configuration and design specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Build and maintain effective business relationships with assigned business areas to understand business processes and where they can be optimized through technology 
  • Research technology direction of responsible functional areas and stay abreast of new functionality and capabilities
  • Responsible for SAP configuration and support of assigned functional areas   
  • Responsible for future requirements gathering, solution design, creation of functional design, and direction of development activity needed to meet business needs with internal and external staff
  • Manage future small to mid-size enhancements and projects to meet specific business needs within agreed to time and budget

  • 3-5 years of SAP PP and/or PP-PI configuration experience
  • Experience developing PI-Sheets 
  • While this is not a coding position, prior experience in a development language will be valuable in role
  • Bachelor Degree in information technology with focus in business applications or comparable work experience
