Title : Electrical, Failure Analysis Reliability Engineer
Client need electronic engineers with reliability engineering and failure analysis experience
Client is seeking an Sr Engineer to execute the qualification of electronics components and failure analysis for our Energy Technology products. This engineer will qualify electronic components for design robustness and reliability based on its application. This engineer is expected to be experienced in various physics-based component failure mechanisms based on its application.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 5 years of engineering experience in electronic component application and validation, preferably in residential / commercial products environment
- Demonstrated experience with physics-based failure analysis of electronic components and documentation using Internal/External FA tools
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with the design and development of power electronics/power converters
- Experience with solar, energy storage, or other clean energy technologies
- Experience with Altium or similar schematic capture and PCB Layout
- Experience with various state-of-the-art analytical tools including external visual examination, cross sectioning, microscopy, radiographic examination, and bench testing.
- Demonstrated experience processing acquired data and information sets to arrive at a conclusion regarding the cause of failure.
- Experience evaluating corrective and preventative actions to address quality issues.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Working knowledge of electrical engineering theory and principles
- Working knowledge of Physics based component failure modes and evaluation methodologies.
- Working knowledge of electronic and electromechanical components and its applications
- Experience with creating and implementing component qualification and validation plans.
- Knowledge of Printed Circuit Board layout best practices
- Deep familiarity and experience with high-volume manufacturing of electronics products, including mixed surface mount/through-hole PCBs and electromechanical assembly.
