Job Summary: We are seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain our database systems, ensuring their availability, performance, and security. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in database management, problem-solving skills, and a passion for optimizing database operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain database management systems (DBMS) such as Oracle, or SQL Server.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to optimize efficiency.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and availability through regular backups and disaster recovery plans.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database schemas and data models.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
- Implement and maintain database security policies to protect sensitive information.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in database management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Atleast 12 years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in database management systems such as Oracle, or SQL Server.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with query optimization.
- Familiarity with database backup and recovery tools and techniques.
- Understanding of data security and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud database services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Snowflake).
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Knowledge of database automation and monitoring tools.
