Important Skills: Tech skills: 

• Knowledge of LAN and WAN networks, VLANs, and VPN technologies. 
• Palo is a plus to have. 
• Familiarity with VMWare vSphere 7. 
• Nutanix experience a plus. 
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP. Experience with Cisco Meraki, Dell, and Brocade switches. 
• Ability to program switchports to access VLANs. 

Soft skills: customer service focused, friendly personable, good communication, needs to be comfortable presenting to management. Will need to communicate with people at other locations and will need to know how to collab.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strongly prefer previous experience working with validated environments in the pharmaceutical industry.
Experience with managing building security systems and VoIP phones.
Familiarity with Meraki dashboard and Meraki Wi-Fi appliances a plus.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• A current certification is mandatory: A+ or equivalent minimum.
• Minimum of AS degree and 3 years' experience performing Data Center operations support.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft AD, vSphere, VMware ESX Server. Microsoft Azure experience a plus.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills. Ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Must be physically able to lift and move data center system components (i.e. Servers, Switches, etc.).
• Availability to work evenings and weekends for patching and updates, projects, and mission-critical issues.
• Strong Interpersonal and Communications (oral and written) skills.

EFFORT REQUIRED/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Physical Activities : On a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 40 lbs., may be required. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
