Job Title : IT Infrastructure Specialist – Database & Active Directory

 

Technical Skills 

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with 3-5 years’ experience in an enterprise IT environment 

- Expertise in Active Directory management and troubleshooting infrastructure 

- Proficiency w/ application servers, VMware vSphere, Nutanix environments, and Hyper-V 

- Experience managing operating systems and workstations 

- Knowledge of storage RAID configuration and disaster recovery planning

Nice to Have: 

- 2nd and 3rd-level technical support experience 

- Ability to write and modify scripts (PowerShell, bash, ksh, perl) and SQL queries 

- Experience analyzing cyber activity and threats 

- Familiarity with Splunk, Failover Manager, and Nutanix cluster management

Summary 

We are seeking a highly motivated IT Infrastructure Specialist with strong technical skills to join our team. This role involves providing technical expertise for Windows Server/Desktop operating systems, administering Active Directory, and managing storage and disaster recovery solutions. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring system health, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, and optimizing performance across the enterprise environment.

Responsibilities: 

- Administer Windows Server/Desktop operating systems, user management, and file systems 

- Manage Active Directory, including domain backup, recovery, and GPO setup 

- Troubleshoot networking issues (DHCP, DNS, Routing, Firewall) and implement security measures (ACL, Encryption) 

- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, bash, ksh, or perl 

- Lead disaster recovery planning and perform system, application, and data backups 

- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization efforts 

- Provide strong customer support, ensuring a positive user experience 

- Install and manage patches and firmware updates

Qualifications: 

- Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field with at least 8 years of IT support experience 

- Proficiency with servers, networks, storage, and scripting for automation 

- Strong communication and documentation skills 

- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks 

- Must be able to lift and transport server equipment as needed 

- Ability to provide off-hour, on-call support, and willingness to work overtime when necessary 

- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various locations

Additional Requirements: 

- Must pass NERC CIP Personnel Risk Assessment background check 

- Willing to provide two references from most recent roles 

- This is an onsite position, 5 days a week
