Job Description

Title: Systems Admin w/ Cloud

 

MUST HAVES:

0365/Intune/Azure.

Notes:

  • Could be a Tier 3 technician who has some cloud experience and looking to grow. They will be responsible for the administration of the cloud environment.
  • Must have experience administering SharePoint
  • Must have experience administering with Active Directory
  • end point management
  • Patch management- Microsoft cloud related
  • Must have experience with Microsoft exchange online environment

 The System Administrator’s role is to manage and tune in-house computer software systems to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications. This individual also participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Operational Management

  • Active directory management, create accounts, groups, and distribution lists
  • Manage email communications and connection solutions, including workstation connectivity
  • Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
  • Perform and test routine system backups and restores
  • Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
  • Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on servers, input/output fleet, and workstations. Escalate incidents as necessary
  • Provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues
  • Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Support application development teams throughout project lifecycles
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases
  • Create required reports in response to business user needs
  • Develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for system administration and appropriate use
  • Assist in managing and monitoring virtualize environment
  • Perform on-site and remote technical support
  • Assist in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources
  • Creates and maintains good technical documentation
  • Provides emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule

EDUCATION

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 5 years equivalent work experience
  • Certifications in Microsoft Systems, VMWare, Exchange 2010 or higher

Knowledge & Experience

  • Working technical knowledge of network, PC, and Windows operating systems
  • Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards, including [Active Directory]
  • Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with data management
  • Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information
  • Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
