Job Title - Application Support Analyst.

Project description

You'll be working in the Application Support and Reliability (ASR) which provides application support for the Reference Data & Azure Cloud suite of applications.

Responsibilities

  • support data applications that will eventually migrate to the Azure Cloud Platform
  • ensure workflows, processes, tooling and applications meet the highest production quality standards
  • contribute ITIL production expertise to the onboarding of existing and new IT products and services
  • define workarounds for known errors and initiate process improvements
  • assist in planning BCP, patching and other infrastructure related projects
  • contribute to automating manual processes
  • get involved in problem management to identify root causes and ensure issues don't reoccur
  • maintain a knowledge database

Skills

Must have

  • 2-3 years hands-on experience with UNIX, SQL and MS Office products
  • Experience with monitoring solutions, preferably Big Panda, AppDynamics and /or Splunk
  • Experience with cloud solutions, Azure Cloud knowledge is highly desirable
  • Proficient with tools such as ServiceNow, Confluence, JIRA and batch scheduling tools like Autosys
  • Ability to solve complex issues, good at problem statement analysis and solution design thinking
  • Track record of building good relationships with IT stakeholders and business partner,
  • A solid working knowledge of ITIL
  • Good communication and excellent command of both written and spoken English

Nice to have

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with Business Intelligence Software (like MicroStrategy, PowerBI. etc.) is a plus
  • Use of or knowledge of automation tools like Automation Anywhere or IP center a plus
