Project description
You'll be working in the Application Support and Reliability (ASR) which provides application support for the Reference Data & Azure Cloud suite of applications.
Responsibilities
- support data applications that will eventually migrate to the Azure Cloud Platform
- ensure workflows, processes, tooling and applications meet the highest production quality standards
- contribute ITIL production expertise to the onboarding of existing and new IT products and services
- define workarounds for known errors and initiate process improvements
- assist in planning BCP, patching and other infrastructure related projects
- contribute to automating manual processes
- get involved in problem management to identify root causes and ensure issues don't reoccur
- maintain a knowledge database
Skills
Must have
- 2-3 years hands-on experience with UNIX, SQL and MS Office products
- Experience with monitoring solutions, preferably Big Panda, AppDynamics and /or Splunk
- Experience with cloud solutions, Azure Cloud knowledge is highly desirable
- Proficient with tools such as ServiceNow, Confluence, JIRA and batch scheduling tools like Autosys
- Ability to solve complex issues, good at problem statement analysis and solution design thinking
- Track record of building good relationships with IT stakeholders and business partner,
- A solid working knowledge of ITIL
- Good communication and excellent command of both written and spoken English
Nice to have
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with Business Intelligence Software (like MicroStrategy, PowerBI. etc.) is a plus
- Use of or knowledge of automation tools like Automation Anywhere or IP center a plus
