Job Description

Role-Multimedia Technician

Job Location: Onsite 5 days a week – Downtown Washington, DC 17th Street

Must have TS SCI clearance

Top Skills: TS SCI, AV troubleshooting experience (setting up and troubleshooting AV tools), experience with setting up and the operations of live event broadcasts (lighting, microphones, speakers, etc), technical and supporting events.

Responsibilities

  • Operation, and maintenance of broadcast-quality audio and video documentation and recording systems in a unique
  • Assist with the set-up and operations of live event broadcast, production, editing and AV equipment.
  • Move / transport equipment from one location to another.
  • Set-up lighting, cameras, microphones, and speakers for programs and events.
  • Assist with maintaining lineup of cable tv operations and broadcasting / re-broadcasting activities.
  • Assist with the cataloging and asset management of operations artifacts.
  • Work with a multi-discipline team to complete team tasks.
  • Provide technical support to voice, video and data engineering staff to facilitate the integration of new systems and upgrade/modernization of existing systems into the client’s infrastructure.
  • Support shift work operations, with 8-hour shifts between 7am and 8pm and weekends as needed (may be required to be on-call at times, with a one-hour response time.
  • Work with audio video editing suites, to include image stabilization, video enhancement, and format conversion capabilities.
  • Assists in the enhancement of multimedia files and still images for further analysis.
  • Report problems and process equipment for repair.
  • Clean and store equipment.
  • Perform Other duties as assigned.

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position requires a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance at the Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) level.

Education

·         High School Diploma. College Degree Preferred

·         Ability to comprehend and utilize audio, visual, and power related mathematics.

·         Basic mechanical aptitude

·         Basic understanding of audio-visual equipment and concepts

·         Well versed with common office productivity applications, such as the Microsoft Office suite.

·         Able to work independently and as a team member.

·         Must have professional demeanor, patience, flexibility, and strong customer-service skills.
